Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Murtaugh (Danny Glover) are off and running, trying to keep a key witness and themselves alive in this faster-than-gunfire sequel. From its breathless opening chase through L.A. streets to its raging gun-battle finale, the film's excitement never flags. In between, there's a six-story plummet from a window, a booby-trapped toilet, a Houdini-like underwater escape and the incredible destruction of a hillside stilt house. Just as fast as the action (at least in patter if not wit) is new co-star Joe Pesci as the weaselly witness. |
