Audio Commentary: Director John Hillcoat and Author Matt Bondurant offer a good commentary that nicely intermixes the worlds of truth and fiction which intersect in both the novel and the film. They cover the historical period, plot basics and intricacies both, character development and performances, the dichotomy between city and rural life and their intersection in the story, production design and cinematography, and much more. This is a very well balanced track that fans will want to absorb. Deleted Scenes (HD, 7:58): 6 Legged Cow, Forrest and Tizwell, Campfire (Alternate), Howard Tells Forrest that Jack Stole the Moonshine, Rakes and Feather, and Jr. with Brass Knuckles. Lawless: The True Story of the Wettest County in the World (HD, 21:33): Cast and crew offer a detailed historical overview of the period and characters depicted in the film. Included are authentic photographs and clips from the film. Franklin County, Virginia: Then & Now (HD, 6:11): A short but fascinating glimpse into the county's history and current state.
